Our patent-pending Spirit is designed for the youth player (6th grade and younger) where a light flexible shaft dramatically improves player performance while still providing adequate impact strength when checking at the youth level. This is Talon's lightest shaft, weighing 6.3 ounces.
The Talon Spirit embraces the idea that our sticks take on their own personality and become one with us—our soul and spirit. As with all Talon products, the Spirit shaft honors the traditions of the game, from honoring those who played the game before us to honoring the principles that define our character. The Spirit shaft is designed to inspire awe, respect and curiosity for the ancient sport of lacrosse.
Flexibility: Fiberglass core provides flexibility in the shaft and helps to increase shooting speed.
Durability: Adequate strength when stick checking at the youth level; very good dent resistance when checked or checking an opposing player's shaft.

The patent-pending Legend, our most popular shaft, is designed for the aggressive attack and midfielder who wants a flexible shaft with a good balance between strength and weight. This shaft offers the best balance between weight and strength, and weighs 7.3 ounces.
Legends. They are important to us. We look up to them—revered people and revered stories. We honor them and model ourselves and our lives after them. For lacrosse, there are many amazing stories and honored people associated with the game. Though some date back so far (hundreds of years) that the earliest versions of the legends are lost, there are still many that provide us with admirable models of tradition and history that inspire us to be the best we can be and do the best we can do—on and off the lacrosse field.
Flexibility: Fiberglass core provides flexibility in the shaft and helps to increase shooting speed. Durability: Very durable; highly resistant to dents when checked or checking an opposing player's shaft; very good impact strength when applying legal stick checks.

The patent-pending Thunder is designed for the more physical play of the indoor game. With more of an emphasis on strength than on weight, there is more composite material in the core of the shaft. This is Talon's most durable shaft, and weighs 9.8 ounces (278 g) at 32" in length.
The Thunder shaft represents one of the ultimate forces of nature. It’s the awakening of a powerful storm, and the voice of the heavens calling on all creatures to scurry for shelter. In Native American culture, the Thunder spirits (or Thunderers or Thunderbirds) were guardian spirits. Some tribes believed that lacrosse was a gift from the Thunder spirits, to be played to honor them. There are many lacrosse legends relating to Thunder. The Thunder shaft is designed to represent awe-inspiring power and strength, and to honor the Thunder spirits and Native Americans who gave us this great game.
Flexibility: Fiberglass core provides flexibility in the shaft and helps to increase shooting speed.
Durability: Our most durable shaft; highly resistant to dents when checked or checking an opposing player's shaft; very good impact strength when applying legal stick checks and cross checks in the indoor game.

The patent-pending Hummingbird is truly a perfect shaft for women's lacrosse. The hardwood exterior provides unequaled feel and grip, naturally adjusting to any weather condition. The kanuga shape at mid-shaft adds to the feel and boosts power mechanics in passes and shots. Finally, the unmistakable natural beauty of wood makes every Hummingbird unique.
The hummingbird played an important role in the creation of lacrosse among Native American people. Their respect and admiration for the speed, accuracy and agility displayed so elegantly by the hummingbird inspired the design of the first lacrosse stick. Native American legends describe the original lacrosse stick as being shaped in the likeness of a hummingbird's tail feather.
Flexibility: Fiberglass core provides flexibility in the shaft and helps to increase shooting speed.
Durability: Very durable. Even with its sleak profile the composite core of the Hummingbird adds great strength to this shaft.

The Keeper is our patent-pending goalie shaft. We’ve placed the kanuga shape at the top of the shaft next to the head so it fits perfectly in the “v” between your thumb and forefinger for optimum grip and ergonomic fit and feel in your top hand. For those who prefer the familiar feel of an octagon shape, the shaft can be rotated so the octagon portion is at the top and the kanuga shape is at the bottom.
In Native American communities, the “Faith Keeper” or the “Dream Keeper” is a leader, the one others look to for inspiration. The goalie in many sports is also called a “goalkeeper” or just “keeper”. Certainly in lacrosse, the goalie is a unique person – the one crazy enough to stand in front of 100+ mph shots and the one other players put their faith in to lead them to victory.
Flexibility: Fiberglass core provides flexibility in the shaft. Well-balanced with the weight of the stick head.
Durability: Very durable. The hardwood composite construction makes for a unique shock resistant barrier.

The patent-pending Protector 46 can either be a 46-inch youth defense shaft or a mid-length “tweener” shaft for defensive midfielders. We’ve placed the kanuga shape just below the middle of the shaft to give the defenseman optimum grip and ergonomic fit when “laying the wood” on opposing players. Only wood can give you a soft, warm feel, the force of nature, and the spiritual connection to those who played before you.
In Native American communities, the “Protector of Dreams” were the fiercest warriors who protected the tribe from harm. Defensemen in lacrosse serve the same purpose – they protect their keeper and their teammates, and protect the dream of victory for the team.
Flexibility: Fiberglass core provides flexibility in the shaft and helps to increase checking speed. Great for quick slap checks and precise wrap checks. Durability: Very durable shaft; highly resistant to dents when checking an opposing player's shaft; very good impact strength when applying legal stick checks.
