Our patent-pending Thunder shaft is designed for the more physical play of the indoor game. With more of an emphasis on strength than on weight, there is more composite material in the core of the shaft. This is Talon's most durable shaft, and weighs 10.3 ounces (292 g) at 32" in length.
The Thunder shaft represents one of the ultimate forces of nature. It’s the awakening of a powerful storm, and the voice of the heavens
calling on all creatures to scurry for shelter. In Native American
culture, the Thunder spirits (or Thunderers or Thunderbirds) were
guardian spirits. Some tribes believed that lacrosse was a gift from
the Thunder spirits, to be played to honor them. There are many
lacrosse legends relating to Thunder. The Thunder shaft is designed to
represent awe-inspiring power and strength, and to honor the Thunder
spirits and Native Americans who gave us this great game.
Available to ship either with or without a Talon Grip end cap. Please select an end cap option in the "Choose your options..." box above.
You may also personalize your Thunder shaft by adding a custom laser etching to the top portion of the shaft (20 characters maximum) in one of three font styles. Please note that an additional 5-7 days is required for custom laser etching orders.
ALL hickory and walnut shafts are made to order so they will require an additional 24 hours
of processing (curing) time from the date of manufacture. If your order
arrives after 3 pm PST, the hickory or walnut shaft will be hand-made
the following business day and will then require the additional curing time.
Unfortunately, due to the extremely high shipping charges, we do NOT
offer a Saturday delivery option. If you must have a shaft delivered on
a Saturday, please email us at "info@talonlacrosse.com" prior to
placing your order. We will then do our best to determine the UPS
shipping rates and make special arrangements to have it delivered to you on
Saturday.
International shipping
charges are not accurately
reflected in our online shopping cart due primarily to varying brokerage
fees. Please expect a phone call from one of our customer service reps
shortly after your order is placed to resolve the shipping charges on
your international order. |
